Emerald was honored to be a part of the Fisher House project team. The Fisher House, is a "home away from home" for families of veterans who are receiving care at the McGuire Veteran's Hospital in Richmond. This 24 bedroom house comes complete with larger kitchen area, several washers/dryers and pantry area for the families to use during their stay, which may be several days to months, all free of charge. Some veterans also use the house to reside in during recuperation from surgery. Emerald was asked to also build the Fisher House in Washington, DC.

Advantages to Fisher House: Emerald's experience with building hotels was used in constructing this multi-family structure. Our attention to detail was utilized when overseeing the installation of the high-end finishes, elevator, and ADA features. We met the budget and the schedule, and were extremely proud to have been awarded a second opportunity to be a part of the Fisher House team in D.C.
