Office Renovation
Richmond, VA
Project Details
The Virginia Credit Union League project involved taking four buildings in downtown Richmond and making them into one facility for the League, a political action advocacy group for Virginia credit unions. The buildings, built in the early 1900's, presented many challenges during the intense renovation. The buildings also had to be brought up to current-day building codes which included inserting steel beams through the roof and installing them throughout the structure. The building no longer has dirt floors in the basement, the offices and conference rooms are Class A space, and the League is proud to host local dignitaries from the State Capitol, one block away!
Advantages for VCUL: The Emerald team had worked in challenging, historically-significant structures before. We knew how to bring the structure into present day without compromising the integrity of the past. Challenges were honestly communicated with accompanying solutions.
